How would you define culture from an international perspective?
Is national culture important for companies going international?
How can culture impact a company?
Answer by pwd.alforque
Culture is a system about how and why man live and behave in relation to his environment.
Yes. National Culture (if it is really existing) is important for international companies. Because it is necessary to know how the business should be managed taking into consideration the practices and standards of the place and its people.
Culture affects a company by making the business strange and wierd whenever it does not conform with the existing culture of a particular place.
Example: A fishing shop has a problem with the market of their fishing hooks, it was found out later that the place used straight hooks rather than the curved hooks.
